Abstract:
We examine the adjustment questions of repeated geodetic measurements performed for the study of crustal deformation or engineering structures. It is shown that in the separate adjustment systematic errors will not affect the determination of the displacement vector only under the same weights in both periods of measurement, but the mean square error of unit weight will be distorted. This disadvantage is eliminated in the adjustment of differences of measurements. The reliability assessment, contrary to known results, is not deteriorated.
