The case of potential application of GIS modeling for verifying subjective models of geo-ecological African regions is discussed. The modeling is performed in ArcMap software based on available sources of low resolution spatial data. The generalized scheme based on the operations of the weighted overlay and weighted sum of the results of the three intermediate submodels: natural factors for the formation of regions, anthropogenic impact and geoecological state of the landscape is offered. Comparison of the subjective model and simulation results was made, the conclusions about the reasons for their similarities and differences are proposed.
