Abstract:
In article problems of the state topographical mapping of the Russian Federation are specified and requirements to the Earth Remote Sensing (ERS) materials are given at creation and updating of the state topographic maps and plans of various scales. It is noticed, that for territory of the Russian Federation the quantity of film-making days favorable on weather conditions owing to a snow cover and overcast is extremely limited. Thereupon to provide assurance of supplies of domestic ERS materials the manifold increase in number of satellites and their corresponding orientation is required, and for variety of regions as an alternative competitive alternative option are only the air photography materials (radar-tracking and thermal images as an independent material do not allow to solve a problem of topographical mapping in full degree). The conclusion becomes that to provide customers with remote sensing materials needed the accelerated development and launch of the domestic space digital mapping complex. Its creation should be directed on increase not only resolution of space images, but also (that is more important) on increasing the efficiency of information at the expense of functioning of several optic-electronic space crafts of visible range for providing continuous planimetric air survey of extensive territories of the country.
