Abstract:
The paper shows the process of drawing up an inventory high-scale map of modern vegetation of the central part of the Tigiretsky ridge based on field surveys and multispectral satellite imagery SPOT-5 and Landsat 8. A computer-aided and visual interpretation of images was led; the most representative geobotanical descriptions were used for making signatures for the computeraided interpretation. The legend of the map is based on ecological-morphological classification of plant communities and includes 23 features. Resulting high-scale map allows an assessment of the spatial structure of the study area vegetation on the topological level. Within each zone the distribution of vegetation types is characterized by certain laws, subject to the conditions of the environment. To identify them were analyzed the ratio of the areas the various types of plant communities within each zone with the assessment of the conditions that affect their distribution. The structure of the vegetation cover is well described by a morphometric characteristics - exposure, steepness of slopes and hypsometric level. This influence is different for various zones: in the forest-steppe vegetation zone and high-mountain zones there are significant contrasts in the distribution of the communities, the heterogeneous structures are formed there. This leads to an increased cenotic diversity of this zones.Mountain-taiga zone is characterized by a simple structure, its ways are clearly linked to the change of hypsometric level (altitude there gives a clear differentiation in the two sub-zones).
