Abstract:
A brief overview on scaling functions and wavelets are provided. Expressions for gravity disturbance and gravity anomaly of the scaling functions and Abel-Poisson wavelets are derived. The algorithm of selection of the most effective poles of the spherical radial basic functions (SRBF) on the basis of geometrical interpretation of orthogonal least-squares method is described. The numerical experiment demonstrates application of the received formulas.
