Abstract:
When satellite signals are exposed to interference, deliberate interference, distortion, or other phenomena, which make signal reception unreliable, pseudolites could be used to improve the performance of GNSS determinations. For example, pseudolite transceivers located in the area without any sources of interference can receive GNSS signals, determine their locations, generate and broadcast their own positioning signals, which could be detected by GNSS-compatible receivers. Pseudolites positioning signals allow GNSS receivers, which do not track satellite signals (for example, due to interference or other reasons), to solve the relative navigation task successfully. This is suggested to be an effective solution due to the increase of the number of devices in user segment.
