C++ programming for students of cartographers and surveyors: comparing the effects of curvature of the Earth, the Moon and Mars on distance measurements
The pedagogical methods aimed at improving the effectiveness of teaching the C++ programming in academic groups of cartographers and surveyors are presented. A training program has been developed for students studying the programming under elementary training course. The program calculates the values of absolute and relative errors of distances measurement associated with the curvature of the Earth and other celestial bodies. The developed program can be used for a computer science course at the topic “loop instruction” in order to illustrate the application of procedural programming technology.
