Geoecological mapping as an important part of geoecological direction in cartography has a number of problems. At geoecological mapping, realization of monitoring systems and nature protection measures using the method of classification of ecological systems attention is paid to the problem of their borders ranking. Labour intensity of creation of stability maps of ecological systems and forecasting of development of ecological systems is noted. The list of indicators for an estimation of steady development of ecological systems is offered for use at mapping, at an estimation of a condition of ecosystems the necessity of an optimum combination of quantitative and qualitative parameters of maximum permissible concentration is underlined. Cartographic support of sustainable development can become a new direction, uniting natural, environmental, social and economic aspects.
