Started the labour activities  in 1974 at Tula Polytechnic university after graduating from Moscow Institute of Geodesy, Aerial Survey and Cartography Engineering (MIIGAiK) by the specialty of Astronomical Surveying.

In 1988 defended a PhD at the Thesis Council of the MIIGAiK on researching the ground geodetic nets’ precision.

In 1989 was assigned the Associate Professor academic title.

In 2002 defended a doctor thesis by the  specialty 25.00,36, “Geoecology” at the thesis council Д.212.271.09 in Tula State university.

Since 2004 has been a Professor of the Mining Technologies-and-Sciences Mechanisation chair.

Since 2005 is heading the new chair of Geoengineering and Cadastre. The author of more than 200 published papers and three monographs.
