Abstract:
Solving in GIS often requires reconsideration of previous solutions. These notes provide effective and universal formulas for computing the arc length along a central section on an ellipsoid with exact precision. Absolute error in computing any arc length is not greater than 0,1 mm, relative error is not greater than 10**(-11).
