Briefly stay and perspectives of modern instrumental gravimetry is recounted, an historical review of foreign works performed by Soviet and Russian specialists is given. Are recounted main moments of creation of state gravimetric network. The need of taking into account of world experience while gravimetric works are producing is marked.
