Abstract:

The article describes the main approaches to the delimitation of agglomerations. We developed and implemented a method of delimitation of Irkutsk urban agglomeration (IUA) based on GIS technologies, based on an assessment of population density, transport accessibility, relations intensity, and municipal system.
