The article is devoted to the use of modern achievements in digital photogrammetry and aerophototopography in creation and updating of topographical plans and maps, including domestic and foreign projects of air-photo survey systems among which the possibilities of a Vexcel’s Imaging digital topographical aerial camera UltraCamX favourably differ from others. The work describes the bases of technology of creation of digital maps and plans, process and features of creation of an orthophotoplan based on pictures of a large-format digital topographical aerial camera UltraCamX and by means of a digital photogrammetric station PHOTOMOD.
