Abstract:
The functional features of the available modern hydrographic technologies suitable for conducting, processing and delivering the sea bottom digital terrain model are analyzed. The practice of using CARIS HIPS&SIPS hydrographic package, Fledermause 3D visualization package is discussed on the base of experience gained by one of the authors during the Danish - Swedish - Canadian cruise LOMROG II in 2009. The results of Danish, Canadian and US activity for conducting the bathymetric investigation in the Arctic ocean, necessary for delineation of the outer limits of the continental shelf according with Article 76 of the UNCLOS are analyzed.
