One of the main problems of Russian reserves and national parks in the area of environm ental education is the lack of demonstration materials. Available products are aimed at creating a visual image of the territory, and almost no use of cartographic and aerospace materials. The article presents the basic principles for the development of modem multimedia project for one of the oldest Russian reserves - Astrakhan. Such a project is built on principles similar to traditional integratedcartographic products, but provides high- quality cartographic information in the form of interactive multimedia project, interesting for the modem user.
