Abstract: With the increase in the accuracy of geodetic measurements and an introduction to the use of dynamic coordinates, surveyors, in their work, are increasingly turning to information from allied sciences - geology, tectonics, geomorphology, geophysics, seismology, etc. However, in the curricula of universities that train specialists in geodesy, geodynamics of the questions addressed in a small volume. Perhaps a series of articles devoted to the problems of modern geodynamics, will be useful to students and specialists in geodesy. This article contains information about the development of theories explaining the Earth crust.
