Russian and international scientists show steady interest in different aspects of the Arctic research. As the role of the White Sea in regional economy, particularly as a traffic artery, is steadily increasing, questions of its basin development are of high importance. So, the White Sea basin mapping history research is a current issue in northern territories study.
