Abstract:
This article describes the theoretical foundation for the introduction and use of the term «ideal» map. The «ideal» map is defined as accurate, complete and reliable response to the spatial or geographic user’s questions. Mismatch real geospatial information criteria of «ideal» map identifies the scope, assumptions and limitations of using this information.
