Abstract:

Built areas in near Moscow region (at site 140 × 160 km abroad MKAD) were distinguished by interpretation of multitemporal images from Landsat and IRS satellites for 2001 and 2007; growth of built areas at 5.2% of common area was discovered for this period (rise from 17.4% of built area in 2001 to 22.6% in 2007). Peculiarities of territorial distribution of built areas and their dynamics are analyzed.
