Abstract:
The article considers the modern methods and offers several approaches of automated interpretation of the current state of vegetation on the example of the key area of Northern Mongolia. The methodology of integration of various methods of interpretation is suggested (synthesis of the color image; analysis of the spectral curves of images; use of NDVI index; unsupervised classification; segmentation of image; classification w the help of hierarchical neural networks). The method of neural networks is chosen as the fundamental one.
