The article examines the relationship between cartography and neogeography and points to the apparent contradiction of these paradigms. The approach to the removal of contradictions by focusing on the leading role of spatial questions is suggested. Spatial questions are considered as the driving force for creation of any geographical models from paper maps to neogeographical products.
