Abstract:

Mapping the territory of the Smolensk guberniya was of great importance for developing Russian cartography. Cartographic products dated from XVIII till the beginning of XX centuries showing the territory of the Smolensk guberniya are sources for studying geographic explorations and developing Cartography of Russia.
