Banning nuclear tests at the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site made it possible to start its and the neighbouring territories economical use. Before development of these territories it’s necessary to carry out large-scale topographic surveys and demarcation of particular land units. In order to solve these problems the authors suggest the succession of steps of conducting surveying works, taking into account the nuclear test site demarcation peculiarities.
