The article is devoted to the development of cartographic support of environmental monitoring. The considering issues of this article are unification of the system of symbols and determination the minimum required set of maps for undertaking environmental monitoring and control during the construction of main gas pipeline compressor station, as well as the interpretation of the results. Particular attention was paid to the issue of automated and manual execution of the legend.
