Abstract:
The new change detection technique of the wood borders on space images of various type occurring at different times on the basis of the wavelet-analysis is offered. It is noted that reliability of border allocation results when monitoring deeply essentially depends on accuracy of image transformation and accuracy of diverse information combination. Results of the devel­oped technique application for border allocation of the Hibinsky woodland are given in Murmansk region at a level of continuous woodlands. The direction of wood border shift on diverse occurring at different times aerial photographs with a scale of 1:25 000 and 1:40 000 (1999 year) and on space images QuickBird (2006) and WorldView-2 (2011) is defined (1957). Expediency of the wavelet-analysis application for solving the task of change detection using aerospace images is shown.
