Abstract:
To obtain geoinformation materials using remote sensing it is necessary to know rotation parameters of exterior orientation of the images processed. The author describes in the article a new method of satellite images angles determination, or, to be more exact, of camera focal plane inclination. Its essence is as follows: size of image pixel projection ground size is determined with photo camera focal plane inclination angle. So, if image pixel projection ground size is known, it is possible to find an inclination angle value of photo camera focal plane relatively to direction of nadir. The author’s formulas are given for determination of inclination angles (pitch and roll) of the camera focal plane according to the known values of pixel projection ground size.
