Abstract:
The matter of training qualified experts in the field of surveying and map-making is one of the imperative needs faced by vocational educational institutions. Hereby the causes for insufficient level of training are analyzed and suggestions for perfection the situation in vocational training are made. The problem of relationship between developing the industry and job market forecasting is raised as well as the demand for modern approaches of training. The author estimates the situation with budgeting the education and highlights the necessity of its increase to amounts sufficient to modernize the material and technical base of education and fit salaries of staff members in colleges and universities. Examples of local reforming vocational institutions through association of colleges and universities are given. Industries must be the main employer of vocational schools, the enterprises ought to take part in the training process. The conclusion is that the development of vocational surveying and map-making education is to be one of the initial tasks for the Ministry of Economics and the Russian Federation State Registry.
