Abstract:
Applying of satellite data in the agriculture sphere allows to obtain reliable information of crops’ status. Control over the use of agricultural lands is a topical issue due to the changes in the land management system. Many countries have the different solutions for global monitoring of the agricultural lands, based on satellite data. Such a monitoring system provides information of agricultural land use; allows to estimate a yields’ forecast of the various crops; to assess an influence of climatic parameters on germination and vegetative progress of the crops, etc. The article presents the last experience results of Siberian Center FGBU SRC «Planeta» on the assessment monitoring of grain crops’ status, based on remote sensing data. For the crops status estimation vegetation indices were calculated on satellite data base. The indices represent the general activity of vegetation. The dependences for pre-yield of spring wheat and evaluate status of the grain crops on meteorological parameters are considered. The studies were conducted on the farmland territory within the Novosibirsk region.
