The article is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Moscow College of Geodesy and Cartography. In recent times, good prospects are opening up to secondary vocational education; hence the requirements to its quality are increasing. The staff of the College is not lagging behind. Our main task is the arrangement of the educational process to implement the federal state educational standards. It is carried out in four departments: Geodesy, Cartography-and-Geodesy, Economy and Correspondence Studies. Training specialists is carried out in the following professions: “Aerial Survey”; “Geodesy”; “Land Management”; “Cartography”. The students obtain knowledge both at everyday classes, and through taking part in business games, discussions and excursions. Many of the students actively participate in subject Olympiads and professional skill competitions at various levels. The process of forming knowledge, skills and competencies is based on the cooperation and interaction of students and college teachers. Most tutors are high-skilled and experienced specialists. Employees of industry enterprises and institutions are also involved in education activities at the college.
