Abstract:
The authors discuss the current state of the Main high-altitude base (hereinafter – GVO) of the Republic of Crimea, taking into account the work at leveling I and II classes completed in 2016. This work was performed as part of the implementation of the activities of the Modernization and Optimization Programs of the Main High-Altitude Base of Russia. The results of implementing these Programs are considered, they are: updated and newly laid leveling lines of I and II classes and their numerical characteristics; the list of matters resolved within the framework of the above mentioned Programs. The information is provided on the tasks solved by the results of the measurements at the facility, which include: restoration of the high-altitude network, updating the elevations of normal elevation points of leveling lines with a high aging coefficient, eliminating invalid values of residuals and perimeters of polygons. The conclusions are made about the state of the Main high-altitude base of Crimea and about the prospects for its further development.
