Abstract:
It is proposed to create a simple, accurate, low-cost and easy-made coordinate system, which will be used for two main tasks at the initial stage of Moon exploration: assistance in landing of arriving rockets in a given spot and at arranging residential and industrial premises of the lunar colony with coordinate support of topographic and construction works. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the extremely difficult conditions for performing any work. Since sea and air transportation are not actual on the Moon, navigation will only begin there when roads are built, and these are tasks for distant future. It is shown that the use of an auxiliary Cartesian coordinate system consisting of three starting points enables minimizing time costs, and greatly simplifies the derivation of working formulas for solving geodetic matters and improves the accuracy of point coordinates. The proposed network construction technique is highly accurate, due to the fact that the measured values are only three in number, and the root mean square errors of the coordinates are minimized. Coordinate determination is carried out with minimal field measurements.
