Abstract:
The purpose of the work is to present the research results on the use of the common electronic cartographic database of federal, regional and municipal purpose (EEKO) in urban planning. The authors establish the possibility of using EEKO’s topographic maps and orthophotoplans, its territorial planning and urban zoning maps development. We define the kinds of spatial data for various types of planning created by the cartometric method based on the above mentioned production. Scenarios for using EEKO depending on the specificity of spatial data and urban planning are developed. The recommendations on using cases for applying types and formats of EEKO in urban planning were given; the problems of the relevance and accuracy of EEKO and proposes the solutions for resolving these tasks were shown
