Modern development of thematic mapping is on the way to strengthen the role of geographic information systems in the processing of different information sources. Remote sensing data and digital elevation models (DEM), which can be extracted from remote sensing data by means of digital photogrammetric workstations (DPW), stand apart. Possibilities of using DPW PHOTOMOD 5.2 for thematic mapping and synthesis of photogrammetric method of DEMs creating and their geoinformation processing are presented in the article.
