Abstract: Before the start of power station constructing’s designing period in the Kaliningrad region the nuclear complex studies (geological and geophysical, geomorphological, geodetic) on the fund materials and literature were carried out. The earthquake of 2004 emphasized the relevance of these studies. The results of research, in particular, quantifying estimation of the tectonic activity of the earth surface and faults in the study area (the Kaliningrad region, part of the territory of Lithuania and northern Belarus) are presented in the monograph published in 2009 with the participation of Russian Academy of Sciences (Institute of Geoecology, OIFTZ), the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (Institute of Nature,) Rosatom (VNIIAES project office), TsNIIGAiK and others. This publication reports on the results in the main geodetic studies with comparable data on Neotectonics and seismicity of the territory.
