Abstract:
The article demonstrates the potential application of geoinformatic technologies in the accident rate studies. Authors justify utilization of geodatabases for storing, analysing and visualizing information on potential risk factors. The article proposes geoinformatic module that was designed for calculating and mapping failure rate on trunk oil pipelines. The module works as an extension for ArcGIS geoinformatic software product.
