Topical matters of creation a municipal environmental GIS for optimization of environmental management process on town and local administrative district are considered. These approaches and functions of environmental municipal GIS can be implemented in complex activities for improving environmental situation in the area. The mentioned example of municipal environmental GIS and the given algorithm can be implemented in activities based on GIS-technology and focused at improving the situation.
