In the first part of the article the author refers to the great importance of the problem of changing the spatial coordinates of large geodetic networks’ points under the influence of global tectonic processes. A brief description of the most commonly used models for calculating components of the tectonic plates’ motion is given. The paper presents the results of testing and estimating the formulae’s precision, which enables computing the azimuth and velocity of the geodetic point within the boundaries of the Eurasian lithospheric plate in Russia.
