Abstract:
The flood zones and consequences of the flood in Krymsk (July, 2012) for the local population were modeled on the base of GIS-technologies and photogrammetric tools of satellite images processing. Modelling results are compared with actual consequences. Advanced analytical toolbox of GIS software and an efficiency of creating accurate digital elevation models via digital photogrammetric workstations allow – to create reliable platform for modeling flood zones and predicting consequences of floods.
