The review of methodical techniques of optimization approaches to the formation of cartographic competence of touring-business students. The basic directions when updating knowledge through cartographic models for lectures and seminars in High School are defined. Considerable attention is paid to Educational Tourist Maps, contour maps, and the peculiarities of working with them in the study of Tourist Sciences. A method of spatial learning students was developed. Objectives, structure and content of university cartographic training are proposed.
