Abstract:
Facts of Dr. Nikolay Komedchikov’s biography (1959–2011) are presented. He was an outstanding Russian cartographer who headed the Cartography Department of the Institute of Geography, Russian Academy of Sciences, from 2001 to 2011. The results of his scientific, institutional, and public activities are summarized.
