Abstract:
At the present stage of development of cartography much attention is paid to the transition to three-dimensional mapping of the earth’s surface and the presentation of the territory and objects on it in the 3D-models. The process of three-dimensional maps has several ways of re-establishment of the survey data or data of terrestrial laser scanning or remote sensing, transmission and preparation of 2D-maps, materials. Proposed methods of creation of digital 3D-models of the Earth’s surface using a software package Engage 3D-Professional. This article also discussed different methods of interpolation of heights: – the method «triangulation»; method «spatial neighborhood»; method «minimum curvature» When compared with the original contours the best approximation to the original contours for the conditions of this experiment is achieved by applying the method «spatial neighborhood». The use of this technology allows you to create 3D-maps much faster than compiling them again on the basis of the collected information. Are technological sequence of action figures and tables illustrating the essence of the proposed solution.
