Area vegetation objects occupy significant part on a satellite images therefore the study of area vegetation imagery is an important task. Particular qualities of the satellite images interpretation are mainly determined by the process of image creation and the investigation purposes. To solve the tasks of recognition of the vegetation different types it needs different methods but the result is not always satisfactory. Analysis of the task of vegetation different types recognition allows to differentiate the objects in the images according to the degree of their distinguishability: visually distinguishable objects, difficult to distinguish objects and undistinguishable objects. Analysis of the most significant works (dedicated to the investigation of different vegetation classes in the images) for the period from 2004 to 2016 allows to make some conclusions that confirmed the necessity of development new methods for the interpretation of area vegetation objects images with difficult to distinguish structure. New method can be based on the idea of the combining structural and spectral information in the vegetation objects images. A new method based on the wavelet-transformation and the decision-making method with the selection of effective classification features procedure is proposed.
