A conceptual and structural analysis of the book “Self-regulation of cadastral activity” by M. I. Petrushina and A. G. Ovchinnikova is carried out. In this monograph they examine the current issues of methodology and practical implementation of cadastral activities in the Russian Federation: the basics of their self-regulation is described; the requirements for cadastral engineers, the rights and obligations of a self-regulating organization members are given; the matters of their functioning, control and disciplinary functions are considered; statistical data on violations committed by cadastral engineers are provided; the content of state regulation of these activities is specified. In the final chapter of the book the authors describe the work of the appeal commissions. The monograph contains 10 appendices with examples of completing documents, as well as all resolutions of the All-Russian Congress of Cadastral Engineers. The reviewed work can be considered as a multi-purpose publication: as a reference book in the field of land-property and cadastral relations, as well as students’ tutorial. The material is outlined didactically clear, which is important for studying complex issues of cadastral relations.
