Abstract:
The authors discuss the use of UAV at geodetic surveys of linear objects, which has become widespread over the recent decade. The speed of work for objects of small area and length using aerial photography equipment installed on drones is greatly higher than in "classical" methods of ground survey. Examples of constructing a DTM and DEM for one work area are given. The problems arising at those works are described, the main one being the impossibility of obtaining a reliable outcome on forested areas based on the results of aerial photography. This is caused by the fact that the equipment for this survey is not designed to record objects located under densely closed crowns of tree vegetation. The options for solving this task in the forest-steppe zone using interpolation and extrapolation are described. The results of the research are presented, and the accuracy of the obtained values is assessed
